This validation procedure is performed on both the MDM Administration Console and the LG Android device.

Check whether the appropriate setting is configured on the MDM Administration Console:
1. Ask the MDM administrator to display the "Allow Download mode" setting in the MDM console.
2. Verify the setting for the Download mode is disabled.

On the LG Android device:
1. Power on the device and connect USB.
2. Try to flash device firmware.
3. Verify flashing device firmware is disabled and the following message is displayed:
Download mode is disabled by server policy.

If the "Allow download mode" setting is enabled, or if the user is able to flash device firmware on the device, this is a finding.

Configure the mobile device to disable download mode.

On the MDM Administration Console, set the "Allow download mode".
